Garage door roller replacement
If the door grinds, squeals or shakes, the rollers are the usual suspect. It's a small repair that makes the whole door quieter and easier on the opener.

Signs this is your problem
- Grinding or squealing as the door moves.
- The door shakes or jerks along the way.
- Rollers look wobbly, cracked or rusted.
- The opener works harder than it used to.
What we do
We replace all the rollers at once, usually ten on a two-car door, so they wear evenly. For Estero we recommend sealed nylon rollers with steel bearings: quieter, and they don't rust. We lubricate the hinges and check the tracks while we're there.
Try this first
If the door is noisy but the rollers look fine, spray the hinges and roller bearings with a silicone or lithium garage door lubricant (not WD-40, and no grease in the tracks). Sometimes that's all it needed.

They don't rust, which matters in Southwest Florida's humidity, and they cut the noise a lot.
